Dosage & Course of Treatment
Mild cases (comedones only): 3 - 4 capsules, 2 - 3 times daily
Moderate cases (papulopustular): 3 - 4 capsules, 3 times daily
Severe cases (nodulocystic): 5 capsules, 3 times daily
Course of treatment: 3 - 6 months Safe to use long term
Cautions & Contraindications
Avoid coffee, deep fried foods, high glycemic foods and hydrogenated fats. Minimise consumption of saturated fats and red meat. The affected areas should be kept clean.
Caution for those on anti-coagulant medications (i.e. Heparin, warfarin or aspirin).
Do not take at the same time of day as iron supplements as the tannins in crataegus fruit interfere with the absorption of iron.
Contains Glycyrrhiza, which potentiates prednisone and corticosteroids by prolonging steroid biological half-life; caution in patients with hypertension.
