The reason it works so effectively, is due to the fact that Chinese Medicine treats and responds to the reasons the lines are in the face in the first place.
For example lines between the eyebrows are indicative of Gan (Liver / Wood system) function. In order to eradicate these lines, the “Liver or Wood system” needs to be addressed, as this person always responds to stresses in the same way, as the face frowns the same way frequently, so this is an ingrained and repeated response behaviour, whereas if the “Liver system” for example was functioning or performing at its best, one wouldn’t be feeling quite so stressed, strung out or ‘on a wire’ the entire time and thus wouldn’t be so quick to respond to stress the same way or continued pattern, therefore the person wouldn’t frown as frequently in the same manner, and so the process of diminishing the frown wrinkles wouldn’t have been in vain, as a waste of time as the facial response has changed as to not further encourage the crease.
